I Wrote Team Moanas Weekly News.

Kia Ora,

I'm am now Team Moanas news writer.
My deadline was Thursday and I made it,
sadly I was away on Thursday to see my work in the school news paper.
I also had help from my best friend,
 Mia.
Here is my writing.

Kia Ora,
This is the first Class News written by our new editorial team of Tylah Ratahi and Mia Williams
This week we have been very busy and also had some bad weather.
Thursday there was heavy rain, which ended up turning into a storm and cancelling hockey and swimming coaching. Kerikeri ended up getting flooded but we stayed inside drawing Thunder Gods while the storm passed.
We had another wet day on Friday, some children were sent to do wet day duties in junior classrooms at lunchtime. We had at least ten people away due to a bug that was going around.
But, on Monday, we were lucky. We got to see Tracy from Swim For Life. She talked to us about five ways to be safe in the water: One: Never swim alone, Two: Safety first, Three: If in doubt stay out, Four: Always tell someone where you are going, and Five: Always check the weather. We also started learning about fractions and that that will be our focus for maths for the next couple of weeks.
On Wednesday we had the Swim for Life program back on with  Beth.
We had to see how many lengths of the pool we could swim without touching the bottom, and how long we could  float on our backs with clothes on. Braeden was brilliant, he floated on his back for over two minutes and swam the most lengths. He did 8.

Well, that’s our Thursday to Wednesday report for Week 7 Term 1 2017. Our deadline was 2pm this afternoon and we made it!!
