Descriptive Writing _ Animal: Karakiri.

Hi,
This week I did even more descriptive writing and this time it was about an animal. My animal is called a Karakiri. This is the Maori word for a parakeet.Though, that is what I thought.
A Karakiri is a green bird that lives in a forest.
It is a very unique bird and they make good pets.
We had to a do a picture brainstorm with describing words around it and complete a paragraph plan.

  1. Hi Tylah
You have created a very nice Google drawing for your brainstorm. I was wondering why you didn't use many of your ideas from your drawing in your paragraph plan. I have a couple of questions: What part of a kakariki looks like a thick, leathery strip of carpet? Has it got a sharp, hooked beak or a sharp, pointy beak? Does a kakariki have webbed feet? Finally, would a kakariki eat an ant?
